Life Assurance

Wondered if anyone could recommend a decent and cheapish company to provide a quote for Life Assurance.

It's for a joint policy to cover £100k over 30 years, ideally we'd like to be able to do this over the net through GreasyPalm of Quidco to try and get some cashback

Thanks in advance

Depends what type of cover you want. but personally, I dont see the point in taking cover without advice, as you could be buying something really naff.

Life assurance is a generic term covering a number of different types of product.

    Level term asssurance
    decreasing term assurance
    pension term assurance
    pension decreasing term assurance
    family income benefit
    convertible term assurance
    renewable term assurance
    whole of life

There are others but they are the more common ones.

Once you purchase life cover, you often require an appropriate trust to make sure that you avoid inheritance tax on the sum assured. There is little point paying for £100k of life cover when £40k of it goes straight to Gordon Brown leaving your children with £60k when it only takes a piece of paper to stop that happening.
