BT Call Plan charges

I'm perhaps a bit thick, but can anyone explain BT's charges?
I'm signed up to BT's Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan with inclusive Friends and Family Mobile. On my calling plan, its says that my monthly charge is £11.54.
My last bill shows:
Cost of calls 0.52
Your benefits - 1.07 (paperfree)
Rental charges 12.07
VAT 2.01
Total due 13.53
Why is the rental charge 12.07 when the calling plan says 11.54?
I thought rental charges included VAT?
I'd be grateful if anyone can shed any light?
