Hi, questions has probably been asked many times but here goes.
I have been repaying my abbey loan on reduced payments, as i am in debt, recieved a letter from them a few weeks back stating they have cancelled my p.p.i
few weeks after that received another letter stating i may have been missold the p.p.i. I said yes i did as i was a self emplyed sub contractor with 6 months worth of work left, yet they still sold it to me.
am i entitled to claim every penny back as
1) i did not use it
2) they have cancelled it but not removed the amount £2500
3) missold it
i have been been sent the documents which i signed but to me that does not mean i was sold it in my best interests.
the other concern i have is sort of the same issue with a abbey/mbna credit card. have paid p.p.i for nearly 3 years (never claimed on it)
also have been paying them reduced payments,
and they have done the same, sent me the documents i signed.
surely if you dont use p.p.i. or in my case am now unable to, i should be entitled a full refund or take the amount off the outstanding balance??
thanks for your time and help guys, appreciate it.
Marc.
btw, wrote to egg who refunded me £800 of p.p.i without any questions.

Hi there
Good luck with your reclaims.
With your reasons you should be able to reclaim on your PPI, however please be aware they may use the refund towards the debt, anything remaining should be refunded directly to you.
Please don't quote me on this though as every bank varies from one to the other.
Who sent you the questionnaires? was it the banks themselves, if so then enclose a letter of reclaiming with the questionnaire if you want to, and ask them to refer to your letter.
For more on reclaiming with guidelines, check the link here below.

Please ask for help anytime as well.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
