Screen Saver goes back to "Background"

Ive always used "My Pictures" as a screen saver, however after about 2 mins, it goes back to "Background", without anyone near the computer. The "Turn off" Monitor after X mins is also not working. Any Clues? Thanks:mad:

Do you mean the screen saver turns off, as if you have moved the mouse?
Sometimes the mouse can creep on certain surfaces, as a test, try putting it on a different surface, or turning it upside down when you leave it.

It does sound as if something is running that is making the PC think it is use, so the timer is continually getting reset.

tbh i dont see any point in a screensaver there useless, and if your gonna have turn off monitor turned on theres no point in screensaver.

I tried removing the mouse, in case that was doing it-still no good, and as for the last post i like using my PC as a "Photo Frame" to see all my Photos, when im not actually using the comp.

I've actually got the same problem (started today) my computer screen is set to turn itself off after 50 mins (tv programs) of no use but for some reason it is occurring after a minute, weird!

If your using a laptop perhaps its your power options....
