Hotel near Lord's Cricket Ground Needed

Can anyone suggest a decent hotel for us to use close to Lord's cricket ground please? I will be travelling with dd and have never been to this area before so any help will be gratefully received. We are travelling by train to Kings Cross and have been told that we will be able to get a tube?

The cricket ground is near Warwick Avenue tube, St Johns wood, Maida vale not too far either.
www.tfl.gov.uk, use the journey planner for your journey from Kings Cross. In regard to hotels if you just want somewhere to sleep, you could try the budget hotels like travelodges, premier inn or holiday inns.

If your dates are a good bit in the future there may be some cheap hotel deals.





The Marriot in Kilburn/ Maida vale is a 20 min walk from the cricket ground, left as you exit the hotel, walk straight up maida Vale, it is about the 5th road along (st Johns Wood Road).

I've stayed at the Travelodge Marylebone before, its clean, comfortable, close to tube (opposite station) and away from the more less desirable areas, there are pubs close by to get a good meal and its about 20 mins away from Lords.

You might be lucky and stop there fairly cheaply.
