PPI on credit card

Hi all,

Quick question with regards to a credit card I got in 2001 or 2002, I have been paying PPI on the card but i can not remember signing anything with regards to PPI.

Should I request paperwork with regards to PPI over the last 8/9 years or is it pointless trying to pursue this claim?

    Hi Leon

You could request for a SAR (Subject access Request) where they have 40 days to comply/send everything they hold on your accounts.
There is a £10 charge for this at £10 you can pay this by cheque payment or postal order.
There is a template letter for this here:

However, just as long as you have the account numbers you can still continue to reclaim on the reasons you believe you have been mis sold on.
The link below is the guidelines to reclaiming, with template letters and a checklist of reasons, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, and post all letters by recorded delivery. Link here to help you through this.

Defo worth a go, good luck and ask for help anytime and please keep us posted.;)

  • Hi Di,

    Thanks for the reply.

With regards to mis sold policy, should I wait for the SAR to come back before I draft/send the first copy of the reclaim letter to the bank.

    Your welcome.;)

It is up to you, you can continue to reclaim now if you want to, if you have the account number that is fine, or otherwise wait for your SAR info to come through.
