Sold Prices .. and our house
dodgy
Hi,
On the websites where you can view sold house prices we can see our house listed for the price we bought it for in June.
Our house also then appears again in the lists saying it was sold at the end of August for more money (12K more). Needless to say we didn't sell it at the of August. This is the same on all the "house price" sites, so I assume the incorrect data came from the land registry.
Is it anything to be worried about, or anything we should tell anyone about? Personally I don't mind people thinking we paid more for it than we did ... it'll help when we come to sell it :-)

Leave people to make what they will of the data coming from Registry to zoopla, ourproperty, etc. - as long as when you sell, you answer truthfully when they query any difference between the price & date shown as the last sale, and the date of your purchase in any other documentation..... they're not likely to ask, but..0

There are quite a few errors in the data showed online, which is a free service. I wouldn't worry about it to be honest. I'd just assume it was some data download/transfer error that slipped into the raw data due to some blip and as the data's available as a free service nobody's going to spend time each month checking/comparing etc.
If you're REALLY worried, then for £3-4 just download a copy of the details from the Land Registry site and you'll see your name on there.0 -
Agree with PasturesNew, I have seen so many errors in that information that I now take it all with a huge pinch of salt!
My house is on there and it states its a flat.......it's a semi-detached house lolMy home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say
Ignore......check!0
