Shower Thermostatic Mixer

I am considering purchasing a Shower Thermostatic Mixer Bar. you plumb it into your taps. This is the description on the Wilkinson site:
Wilko Shower Thermostatic Mixer Bar
With rub clean multi spray shower head, separate flow and temperature controls, maximum temperature stop to prevent scalding. Compatible with gravity fed, pumped gravity, combi boiler and mains systems.
I used similar plastic type that you pushed onto the end of the bath taps and it was often either too hot water or too cold. is the above better? Is it easier to adjust the water temperature?
Thanks for any replies.
