Phil and Teds Sport vs Mothercare Xtreme?

As the thread title suggests really... We've narrowed our choice of buggy down to 2 choices - the phil and teds sport and the mothercare xtreme. We need air tyres suitable to ride offroad and on sand, but are also looking for something suitable from birth and fairly slimline for use around shops, etc.

Does anyone have any advice or an opinion either way? or experience of one or the other?

Very grateful for your help in advance :o Thanks

  • I would personally never EVER go near a mothercare own brand buggy again, I had a wheel fall off on my DS's when he was only 3 weeks old, they then give you a crappy loaner buggy while yours is being fixed, in total it went back about 6 times in a matter of months, had more use of the loan buggy than his, total useless service IMO, they never even rang when it was back from being fixed or anything
btw the phil and teds is lush! i was so tempted to get the vibe but went for an icandy peach in the end :)

I have used both and both are as good as each other, the only reason i went for a p&t over the extreme was because i was planning on having a small age gap between children (my youngest 2 are 14 months apart) and the p&t was so easy to turn into a double buggy when i needed it and still remained the same size as a single buggy x
Basket wise the mothercare one is better as it wont have another childs feet in it but the P&T you can get saddle bags (which i have) and you can get loads in them x
No matter which one you go for don't forget to keep the tires slimed (no punctures then) and keep the tires filled otherwise they get very heavy to push x

Hi kym, if you go to halfords and ask them for some tyre slime, you put this into the innertube of the pram wheels and it repairs tithe tube if you get puncture so when out walking you can just re inflate the trye and off you go again x

dont know if im allowed to put links in so have pm'd you the link
