Removing biro marks from Wellies

My lovely daughter has found a blue biro and scribbled all over her brand new Peppa Pig wellies - does anyone know how I can get it off? I've has a quick rub at them with a babywipe but this hasn't touched it. I haven't tried Cif or any abrasive cleaner on them yet.

Hairspray gets biro marks out of fabric, so maybe try spraying a little of that on and see if it helps?You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0

Difficult one. I would try acetone as suggested, meths and white spirit.
