mis sold at big chain highstreet retailer

AAAAH I'm so angry right now , I've decided to take it out on my keyboard. Apologies in advance for my rant but i would be very interested in people's opinions....
Before Christmas I made a trip to a big chain high street retailer to by a new cooker. My wife and I had been saving for nearly two years to update our kitchen and the cooker was to be the focal point. After finding one we liked (Rangemaster 110 ) we haggled a little but could not shift past the 1800k barrier!! The assitant said if we had a fixed budget then we should try the clearance arm of said high street store.
We couldn't believe our luck, a Rangemaster 110 in stock with slight cosmetic damage that you wouldn't notice, different colour but more importantly over 500£ cheaper. The only niggle it was all gas instead of dual duel (which we were after). The sales consultant went to check this was the right gas cooker for us, as we didn't want to this bargin was something daft like LPG when we needed natural. (wait for the irony)
We paid for the cooker in full, even thought we were lucky when they found a spare grill peice in 'the back' that fitted. I collected it the following weekend (bought on the 11th December 2009).
The cooker then sat in our empty kitchen until today, 15th January . As we had our entire old kitchen ripped out over christmas ready for the new one to be put in this week.
The Gas Safe fitter concentrated on pipe work first as the cooker was being moved from its original location. Once he had finished he connected it up and gave it a drop test it was if the gas was struggling to get from the pipe to the hob... Here's me thinking a problem with the cooker, or worst the pipe between the meter and the kitchen.
On closer inspection the fitter informs me it's a LPG ONLY COOKER !!!! Aaaargh.........
You think I'm bad you should see my wife!!! We have bought paint and tiles to match this cooker , arranged for tradespeople to fit the new kitchen and a number of other appliances.
I can't believe this has happened.
My argument is the store has mis sold me this appliance, and now have the audacity to put me on hold and transfer me through their customer 'not' service !!
**UPDATE*** I've just spoke to the store and they've agreed they told me it was natural gas but have to phone me back !!!!
I have a strong case here... what do you think ?

It is possible to buy a conversion kit (not all cookers), you need gas council no. of appliance.0
-
Don't telephone, you need to send a recorded delivery letter detailing your complaint and listing your losses as a direct result of the salesman's error.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
