This looks good value Broadband and Line rental from o2 starting in March:-

£17 for unlimited BB and free evening and weekend calls :D

Looks like more competition, which is always a good thing and makes the TT £18.48 tariff look a bit expensive as there is no 40GB limit and the contract is 12 months not 18.

Isn't the £17/month option only if you have a mobile contract or regular payg top-ups with o2?

Yes, you have to put £10 every three months on an O2 sim.

From memory they have an English call centre and they don't complain if you download lots.

Best if they are LLU on your exchange though.

You need to watch out for the added extras that are included with BT.

For example Caller Dsiplay would cost an extra £1.75pm making the total £11.25 as opposed to £11.54 with BT.

If you have the rolling contract with BT you can have inclusive Evening & Weekend calls, Caller Display and 0845/0870 numbers included for £11.54pm. With O2 this would be £11.25 but 0845/0870 calls are chargeable at all times at 4p per minute daytime and 1p per minute all other times.

Not sure how it compares to TalkTalk but I can't see a reason to change from BT.
