I've just been using my pc as usual when the music stopped and the screen went blank --then a message came up saying i had a hardware failure!!
I sent the report to m/soft-but i'm still up and running!
HELP!!!--what should i do now ??ignore the warning or what? everything seems ok--my pc is clean ,and less than a year old.the problems listed were RAM-syst board-CPU-power supply. Could there have been a dip in my power that only the pc noticed??

prolly something breaking down (maybe heat related or otherwise) I have a graphics card which is failing, it keeps causing the system to crash randomly, I used to get the send error report but that doesn't come up anymore (I never used to send them) all I do when it crashes is reboot, it usually works ok for a good few hours before it crashes again
It could be power but hard to tell with a ms error messageWelcome, rogerramjet.

Catford, I will be honest and say I have no idea what may or may not have caused this however I would ask if you use a surge protector. I do know that some cheapie PCs fit power supplies that are barely adeuqate for the purpose (just do not provide enough power on the relevant lines) so if there is any kind of variation in the mains power it can cause problems .. sometimes (not always) a surge protector can help stabilise the power.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
Yes, almost impossible to tell what has caused your PC problems. If checked anti virus etc then worth trying
http://www.memtest86.com/ to check out your RAM
and

To check out if your motherboard is over heating!
I recently had BSOD on 2 PC's - first due to faulty RAM which was picked up by Memtest and 2nd due to overheating (fan filters totally blocked up with dust!!!)
How much RAM does your PC have? Often it is not enough - a few additional progs and they fall over!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0 -
thanks-I thimk a surge protector is a good idea -i've considered it before but never got round tuit!!0
