Goods never arrived (but charged for)

Hello all,
My mother in law bought us, before Christmas, a hamper from iHampers.co.uk
It hasn't arrived, and the order according to her account reads 'pending'.
Funds have been debited (paid for by debit card) shortly after the order was made.
Despite many emails sent to them, we've had no response... The website lists no phone number.
Can you please advise on best procedure to follow to attempt to get money back?
Should she dispute the transaction with her bank?
Thanks for any pointers....

The only review I could find isn't good unfortunately:

If you paid by credit card I would suggest contacting your credit card company ASAP.0 -
To ensure you are fully covered, make sure you have sent an email to them requesting a cancellation of the order. I would then follow MichH's advice and see about asking the bank to do a chargeback against the debit card (as the company are not responding).
Technically, if you have requested a refund, you have 30 days in which to receive the money back from the company, as stated in the distance selling regulations.0 -
Hi MichH and The Pedant,
Thank you both for your contributions, appreciated.
We will do as you suggest. Fingers crossed.
I'll post any developments...0 -
I have a similar story to you which isn't going to offer you any hope i'm afraid.
I bought some darts gear from a website a few years ago. In their policy, it states that they will NOT charge your bank account until the items have been posted out to you.
Some of the items weren't in stock so they said they'd send them out when in stock.....
.......i got charged.
I get back in touch & say i've not received anything. They said they'd be onto it basically.
Still nothing for weeks.
Get back in touch, again and again and again. I then hit the telephone line which was a no-go. Nothing. Totally blanking me.
I then get in touch with trading standards who advise me to send off recorded letters & such like.
Once that got me nowhere, and deadlines came and went, Trading standards then said as the fee was "only" (what the F does it matter what the value is i don't know?!?) about £15, i should write it off.
So i never got my money back, ever, was the end result0 -
08448745030 is their number.
Would like to know how this ended up as I have just ordered a hamper from them to send to a friend in Spain.
fingers crossed0 -
No where! Money not refunded, bank couldn't put a stop, my mother in law didn't pursue further...
I'll get her to keep chasing thought, for the principle of it...
Hope you get your hamper!0 -

My friend received the hamper but it took them nearly 3 weeks as opposed to 3 days orginally quoted0
