in Credit cards
hi everyone, this i my first post and was hoping for some advice, i have been with my boyfriend for 6 years, we have 2 children, and we were on income support, while we were claiming income support we took out a loan and have credit cards, these debts are in my partners name but we have split up and i was wondering what i do about these debts? do i tell them he has left or do i have to keep paying them?

If these debts are in his name only, then you are not liable for them.
You should stop paying them and tell them that he no longer lives at your address.
Of course they may well ask you where they can find him.
Do you have any joint accounts or debts at all?
If you are financially associated then it might be worth you adding a "notice of dissasocaition" to your credit file to tell lenders you are no longer associated.
Otherwise if he gets a bad credit record, it could affect you.0
