Out of the blue i got a cold call off a company saying a had a loan with PPI on which i could possibly claim the PPI back off.Now here is the problem i cannot find the original agreement but i do have a credit check and have the figures i was paying back.Could someone who is good at the old maths tell me if i have or havent had PPI on the loan ?
It was a Barclaycard Loan and i was paying £186 x 36 month on a £5000 loan.So in total i paid £6696. Was that just interest and without PPI ? And if so why would the company phone out of the blue if i didnt have PPI ?
This was 2003 and is fully paid off now.

Hi, firstly do not use a company is my advice when you can do this yourself and secondly I would need the APR to be able to tell.Out of the blue i got a cold call off a company saying a had a loan with PPI on which i could possibly claim the PPI back off.Now here is the problem i cannot find the original agreement but i do have a credit check and have the figures i was paying back.Could someone who is good at the old maths tell me if i have or havent had PPI on the loan ?

Thanks for replying.Thats the thing i dont know the APR.Can you not tell just by the £1696 i did pay.Does £570 a year sound about right just INTEREST wise on a £ 5000 pound loan ??? They called and offered to do my case but after all there speel of what they do.Just the letters and requesting information for a quid.At the end they said they would need to send me a pack out BUT i had to agree to a post dated payment of a £150 pounds for this pack which they would refund if i wasnt a sussesful claimant.Well i thought the greedy buggars want 37.5% of claim then they wanted VAT on top of that and know they want £150 cash.I just thought NO WAY your getting TOO greedy. So i said no.Two weeks later the phone goes and its the same company saying they would waive the £150 fee and send me the pack.Which they did but as i read the small print and signed it the clause to pay the £150 was there to pay it. So i rang and declined there offer. Now i had there precious pack they only wanted the money up-front as it contained all there legal speel on what to tell the banks and the forms where all filled in read to sign.So i just took there information and used it for free.So i screwed them instead of them me ;D.0

Hi, to give you a definate answer to this I would need the APR BUT I can say that looking at it and from the figures you have given it does look like you were charged a very high interest rate of 20% if there was no PPI so I would say there most probably "was" PPI added. Thanks for replying.Thats the thing i dont know the APR.Can you not tell just by the £1696 i did pay.Does £570 a year sound about right just INTEREST wise on a £ 5000 pound loan ??? Really and truely you do not need much legal speel to make a complaint for misselling either. You could get all the information from this site and help is always here. You can try and get a copy of the agreement from them by perhaps asking for it and sending them £1 and send by recorded delivery. They do not have to provide this if the loan is paid up but they may do. Otherwise a SAR request would be needed but I would first try to ask just for the agreement and of course you must have reasons for misselling too.0
