Hi,
I have a bush type ceonothus in my front garden which has out grown its space. Can these shrubs be cut back hard or will they not respond to this treatment? When is a good time to attempt this...now so that new shoots can grow in spring...or after it has flowered later on?

the best time to cut ceonothus is after flowering so i would wait till then i had mine trained against a wall so i did not stick out too much, i cant see why the bush varieties would not take the same treatment .sadly i lost mine to severe frost and snow last winter ddint like minus 18 degrees !!!
