parcel backlog in Guildford?

Hi, I posted a parcel first class delivery via the post office on Tuesday 5th Jan from South Wales - then there was the huge dumps of snow etc - and up until today (15th) my son still hasn't received it. Does anyone know whether there's still a backlog in Guildford or whether they've caught up ? I can't begin any discussions with the PO until it's been missing for 15+ working days ...just searching for the receipt now...

My mum sent me a letter last saturday and I still haven't received it so I guess there's a backlog all over.. That was from Norfolk to Yorkshire.0

thanks - that's reassuring. I'm really annoyed because I sent OH to Post Office and thought he'd send it next day guaranteed for the extra couple of quid - by the time our lad gets it (its a warm coat) it'll be spring.Bern :j0
