When googling photos of bouquets, I came across this site which I thought had alot of nice ideas, including table centrepieces

I am going for something very simple. I have tallish square vases in which I will put 3 stems of varied length with some beargrass similar to one of the photos in the link. Not sure what flowers yet - purple lilac ivory colours, maybe roses. If it doesn't look too ott, I will also decorate the vases by putting a band of plum organza ribbon round them embellished with a few pearl hearts, as that will match my stationary and other bits.
Next week Lidl are due to have orchid plants in various colours for £5.99. I am also considering getting a few purplish ones and putting in nice pots for decoration in other areas

Hi
I've decided that we're going along the lines of candles instead of fresh flowers then will give the candle holders as gifts or ebay after. We got some tealight holders for 15p each from Asda. They are a really chunky clear glass. Then got what I would call a suspended tealight candelabra for £2.99. Gonna have candelabra, three tealight holders around the bottom and sprinkled rose leaves to match colour scheme. Think it woulds out roughly as £5 a table.
Deciding whether to go scented candles - Yankee canndle do a wedding day one or just plain.
We needed to keep centre piece costs down - we've got 11 tables !!!NSD -5/20
Emergency funds - £84

go for unscented, it might make the food taste weird if all people can smell is candles. As you will have a lot of them it will be quite a strong scent.Hi

I would get prices, as it may save you hassel, but if you can buy the vases cheap enough and get a friend/family member to get the tulips or chosen flowers from the shop on the day... going to a market florist may be better than a shop... ask them not to cut the stems as you will need them long.
Then all you are doing on the day is placing the flowers in the vases whilst bending the stems around. Easy!

yeah im gonna go get prices, as then i wouldnt have to think about it lol
thought i would get prices for them doing the flowers with me providing vases as that should help with cost a bit
i dont really want to have to worry about doing them the day of the wedding but if the quotes are stupid then i guess i will do

Don't forget candles will be wasted if you're getting married in June/July/August!
We're getting married 2 days before the longest day and our venue owner reminded us that we wouldn't be able to light the candles until 1/2 hour before the wedding finishes as it'll be too light - so we're not bothering now
