aaarrggghhhhh centrepieces and florists!!!

Ok I am not having much luck sorting out centrepieces lol

I have been trying to visit florists to get some ideas and prices, but I have now been to 4 different places and have got no where at all

It doesnt seem to matter what size I ask for, what flowers I say I want, whether I will provide the vase or them, every quote is £25

and no one has given me any inspiration at all lol

ok rant over...just needed to vent that annoyance lol
carry on

I got chucked out of here, whilst trying to post a sensible reply too!!

How about Ikea Vases (they do nice £1 ones) put glass 'pebbles' at the bottom, also Ikea dirt cheap, then just buy nice flowers in your colour scheme. That will look lovely!

  • to be honest, i did start off with 'ill make my own' then i started adding it up and thought well I have bought nice arrangements from the florist for not much more than that so ill just go and get some prices for getting it done for me as its easier and i like easier lol

but the way its going i will quickly be going back to doing it myself :)

i think we must have 1 of every type of vase from ikea now as we keep buying different ones to try out ideas :)

think i need an hour on google to get some kind of inspiration

I think buying your own vases ect is the way forward. I got my vases for £4.25 each and the lilys to go in them are £2 a stem from the florist. Best thing about having lily vases is you can only get 1 or 2 stems in the vase so brings the cost right down but looks fab. plus you can then give the displays away to family and close frineds! Good luck in your search
