I do this in the 'renovations thread' and people seem to enjoy them. Haven't got round to setting up a blog as yet.
What you do it sign up for a Flick R account or the like, photobucket etc, and literally upload a photo that is on your camera/PC and then copy in the code that will be given to you once it has uploaded. Then when replying you click on the 'mountain range' image and paste in that code and ta-da, the image will appear in the thread.

Followed your advice and have set up a flickr a/c uploaded 1 photo and got a code which consists of 4 letters followed by 4 numbers.
Have tried adding just this code, and adding http://www.flickr.com/photos/46633819@N08/?saved=1 followed by the code but it does not appear to be working. All I got was a picture box with a red cross in it and no picture even when I right clicked on it and clicked show picture.
Please help

OK, here we go.
1. Click on the image that has been uploaded and above it will be the option 'all sizes'.
2. Choose 'medium', then when image appears right click on image and then 'properties.' copy the 'address code.'
3. In another webpage on MSE, I.E. This thread, click on the 'Insert Image' (yellow box with mountain) then paste in the text that you have copied!
