I have been asked to get 'the book' to help a Year 6 child with Key Stage 2 Maths. Could anyone help me identify what this is please?! It's for home/tutoring use as the child is struggling with maths at school.
If someone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful!

I might have one at home - will have a look and let you know later tonight.
You can buy them - I got mine from our local library - I think they are about £3 ish0 -

Hi, I saw some various key stage books in my local pound shop the other day, so might be worth a quick look in one of those local to you before spending over the odds for them.0

i think the books you are looking for are "Letts" keystage 2 Maths, they had them in W.H Smiths the other week for £4.99 buy one get on half price
Yep, that is right. I brought some this morning from WHSmith. My children have been using them for about 6 months. I think they are quite pricey, but they are very good at helping with learning. They hated doing them at first but now are in the routine and don't seem to mine the extra work.
Also I find out what the class will be learning the following week and have my children do the relevant exercises so that they get a head start in the specific subject. I seems to be working like a treat. With big class sizes, children who don't grasp it right away seem to struggle and find it very hard to catch up, so being familiar with the work before they are taught it in class is a big advantage.I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed. Thanks! I think it's probably the Lett's ones then, will give my local WHS a ring and see if they've got them. They are needed sooner rather than later so would prefer to go and buy them than wait for the post (not very MSE really!).
Many thanks again0 -
Ok just looking online, I presume it's the workbooks? My kids aren't school age yet and I don't understand all the key stages/years etc!0

All the books are here:

There is alot of choice. I brought the Letts Magical Study Books (towards the bottom of the page), which also looked fun. But I think I have most of the other ones too.
You could go by the age of the child. The age range is on the front of most of the workbooks.I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed. Booker T Washington
