Refund on Faulty Product

I bought an electrical item over the internet in June 2009.
It has been back to the shop twice now with faults and replacement products have been sent.
It has now developed another fault and i know longer want a replacement.
Can I return the faulty product and ask for a full refund?

They only have to offer a replacement or refund. You yourself cannot specify which. So its up to the company0

If they dont offer me a refund and i have to take another replacement.
How long will they keep replacing it?
I'm worried that after a year they will say that its past the years standard warranty.0
