Why go to a hotel? You should try booking a holiday rental. It is much cheaper than a hotel and gives you so much more freedom. Have a look at the following sites and i am sure you will find something you will love :
holidayhomeland.com
accommodation.de
vamoose.com
there are many other sites but just Google them. I have been booking holiday homes twice a year for the last 10 years and always have had a good time. Never stay in hotels anymore ...even for short stays. It is so much cheaper and better quality than hotels. I would prefer to spend the money on a bottle of wine and a good meal0 -
Hi there Lucylou.
Don't know anything about Spain but we love Greece, our little one is now 6 but we have been going since she was one.
School Holidays (in England) this year are late so prices for package hols rise from around 28 May to beginning of June, if possible book outside this week (it will also be quieter with more toddlers on hol and less schoolchildren).
I can recommend (from personal experience)
Tingaki (Kos) - flat (if you don't like hills!)
Skiathos (any resort) lovely beaches
Parga (on the Greek mainland)
Lassi (Kefalonia) - beautiful sand
All are family friendly with not too long transfer times.
Choose daytime flights (your little one will probably sleep anyway but you will be less tired!:rotfl:
We always book an apartment rather than a hotel. It's much easier with a child - unless you like big hotels which we don't. One of the best parts of a greek holiday is eating in tavernas at night in the open air, and choosing a different one each night!
Sorry I don't know anything about Scottish airports as we are in the Midlands.
Enjoy your hols.:beer:0 -
Lindos in Rhodes is lovely, it's a small town with amazing beaches and is quite family-friendly but still has bars/clubs, etc. Some of the big tour operators go from Scotland, not sure which though.0
