What's people's experience of this. My plan is to open a "basic current account" to link this to (thus avoiding full crediit check). How strict are they on having to have salary paid in. Can you put source of salary as "other", then set up an s/o from barclays (where I'm setting up a regular saver requiring salary mandate) to current a/c for a plausible sounding amount eg £1364 or whatever, then £250 across to regular saver..

yep. and I've seriously got a taste for it! hence this. (also done norwich and peterborough, ipswich building society, waiting to go near enough to a stroud and swindon to justify the extra petrol costs before doing theirs).0
