Reclaiming charges whilst on benefits

After the loss in the supreme court can i still reclaim due to the fact i was on benefits under the law that states it is ilegal to take charges from benefits?

It is not illegal to take bank charges from benefits, the law you are thinking of is Social Security Administration Act and Tax Credits Act.
If you are in hardship you can still complain to your bank about the charges and ask that they are refunded under BCOBS guidance on treating customers in financial difficulty fairly and the Lending Code section 9.LegalBeagles0
