This offer has been on since before christmas. I was especially insterested in the mini-sd cards. Sadly it's an argos style "to good to be true" offer where no store has stock. Been in 12 stores on my travels since exmas and found the grand total of ZERO mini-sd cards but plenty of the jumbo standard SD cards that are twice the size of most electronic gadgets

In practice, standard SD cards are only available up to 2GB. Anything 4GB and above is SDHC.

Sorry for acting Dumb - but our wii has never been online. I was thinking about getting the memory card, so how do I get it online for the updates?

    TIA

Once you are online with your Wii, you can download the BBC iPlayer and an Internet browser, as well as additional Wii channels and games. Most of the games 'cost' Wii points, but there are some 'demo' games available at the moment

Not quite true. 4gb can be either SD or SDHC.

I've been there before on this Forum about this point - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=28209763

I did say 'in practice' because while the SD card standard did allow for 'standard capacity' 4GB cards, I am not sure any were ever manufactured for mass sale. In reality, the only cards ever widely available, and in fact on sale today, in the 4GB size are SDHC ones.

I haven't opened mine yet, saving it for the summer. So will I be able to use mine in my camcorder, because that's what I have bought it for?

If anyone can give me some advice, it would be much appreciated. I will know whether to take it back to the shop for a refund or not.

    Thanks. Lynda

You have to check the instruction book on your camcprder as to hether it will accept the hc cards as most will, but some will not.

yes - as this is a sdhc card and they are not backwards compatible-with equipment that only takes a 'normal' sd card. eg doesn't work in lg cookie

    Thanks both

Think I will take it back for a refund. As I said, I haven't opened it so should be fine.
