Hi all,
The husband and I need to find a hotel to stay at in London for one night on the 31st March. It needs to be within half a mile of Charing cross/The Strand or on a linked tube line. I am rubbish at knowing where things are in London and there seem to be so many hotels to look at. Help! So I though I would ask you lovely lot if you have any recommendations. We are happy to spend up to £150 (as its a special night, he is being awarded his diploma and we will be without the kids for the night!).
Many thanks!

I booked this one a couple of years ago for a theatre break for my parents,

They were pleased with the hotel & location.
Or you could try Travel lodge, Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express0 -
The Strand Palace is very central to theatreland in the West End.
We stayed around a 15 min walk away at Premier Inn, County Hall. That was nice too but not luxurious but better (IMHO) than a travelodge. The Cabbage
