I still have my Pioneer PL115D turntable. Unfortunately it needs a new drive belt. It looks as though this little bit of rubber costs roughly the same as the the Pioneer 111D that started off this thread!

Diskdepot are not doing the Pioneer DVR-111D for £18.99 at time of posting this, but it is now available from SVP for £17.99 (25.85 delivered) - posted first(?) here by davemuk <--- good post - have a look!

If you buy this TDK Outloud 12 Disc Case with Built in Speaker along with the drive, you'll get 99p delivery (with Economy Courier) & both delivered is £25.46 :D.

The full list of items that qualify for 99p delivery. Remember to choose Economy Courier to get the 99p delivery. G

Does this writer come complete with leads ? Don't know much about these but don't want to but it and then have to go back for bits and bobs to connect.
    Thanks.

It's just a bare drive as stated in the description.

This means you don't get any screws, cables, or software with it.

These are back on offer at SVP for £18.99 (£24.26 delivered with the cheapest option).

If you buy this TDK Outloud 12 Disc Case with Built in Speaker along with the drive, you'll be eligible for 99p delivery (with Economy Courier) & both delivered comes to £24.97 - so effectively getting the case-speaker for just 71p. G

You want the LG series of writers for that. They've always been compatible with practically all media. I still have my 8 speed LG and it's going strong.

Nah you want the Pioneer 111 (not D)

    This writes DVD-RAM.

111D can be flashed with some special firmware to make it burn RAM though (bang goes your warranty though).

If you want to write to DVD RAM don't buy a 111D and try to flash it to a 111. It will void your waranty and if you get it wrong you may stuff the drive completely.

The current SVP deal for a Pioneer 111D at £18.99 (http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1020) is a very good deal providing you don't want to write to ram (and most people don't need that facility)

Not when you sign up for Forum user discount and something from the section which qualify you for 99p postage. Otherwise just wait for weekend special offer on postage.
