Toy box planning and more

I'm thinking about making a toy box for my daughter and have found a couple of guides online but they don't look brilliant tbh. Anybody ever tried anything like this before and want to share knowledge?
If it goes well i might even try a new TV unit, as i have a fair bit of stuff including an amp that's pretty big and needs a lot of clearance above it, glass ones seem the only way to go but i don't particularly like them, much prefer wood.
Any help would be gratefully received

Try typing into google
'Chest plans'
'steamer trunk plans'
'Blanket chest'
And something will come up, but you might be expected to pay about 10GBP for the plans
