Oops! Maybe PinkWinged will give it a visit - I think it's in her neck of the woods.

I am looking for a pick your own farm somewhere around Newry, within about a 20 miles radius or so, including over the border. Does anybody know of any such establishment?

I really, really want to make some jam this year but not use the half rotten strawberries which are sold at rip off prices in the shops.

Check out the old style board, there is some info on there about PYO farms, and gives a link to a site that will tell you what's in your area...if you are near Banbridge there's one called Oatlands that's meant to be good, try Googling it (sorry, geography's never been a strong point & i haven't a notion where anywhere is!!)

PYO season is coming around again and I found this thread when I did a search. I'm thinking about getting some strawberries but I have never done this before. Does anyone know of anywhere around the Fermanagh/Tyrone area to PYO? When do these fruit farms open for the season?

    Hello

Does anyone know of any PYO farms in the Co. Down area. Dunleath is no longer operating (I've posted the message from their site below). I'm interested in all soft fruits (strawberries, raspberries etc) and veg (broad beans, mangetout etc).

Two poor summers have forced the Dunleath Estate Pick Your Own enterprise to close. It will not be opening this year."
