Seagrass Carpet any views?

We're looking for an alternative floor covering in our dining room, it needs to be hard wearing as it is the main route through the house, not show foot prints, and give grip to a particularly bonkers springer spaniel without being pulled!

I have seen some seagrass carpet pictures and wondered if anyone had one and could give their view, I think they look nice and they appear to be hardwearing.

Are there any carpet fitters out there who can say how easy they are to fit too?!

This was mentioned recently and it's quite a bit harder to fit this. A user here, Underlay_guru is very knowledgable in this field.

We have a Crucial Trading Sisal rug and it appears to be extremely hardwearing and took a beating by a lab we dogsat for for a while!

Or any advice on 'Coir' - thats a similar look but seems less slippy!?

its in the house we moved into and I really don't like it - slippy, can't be shampooed or steam cleaned, bits get stuck in the weave, hurts your feet
