Can you withdrew cash?

Hi there
I'm looking to borrow around £500-£600 until the middle or end of next month. If I could get a credit card at 0% for 12months and pay it all off next month this sounds good to me but unfortuantly I have read that if you withdrew cash from ATM is charges a great deal of more on top of the bill. If any one could explain that a bit more for me that would be great also if there is any other alternatives to get the amount needed at low to 0% interest rate that would amazin.

Thanks

When you withdraw cash on a credit card at an ATM you are charged interest from the day of the withdrawl at interest rates of up to 30% (check your statement for the exact rate) and also a handling fee of about 3%

The virgin credit card will let you transfer money into your bank account at 0% interest for 16 months. You will have to pay a fee of 4% though and on a £600 balance that would make it £24. Great obviously if you want to borrow over 16 months, but if you only want to borrow for a short amount of time, £24 may seem a bit steep. In your situation, I dont believe there is a credit card out there to suit your needs for such short term borrowing.

Cards with offers such as 0% for 12 months are usually for purchases made with the card. You wont find many card providers that will lend you cash at 0%, and i dont think any will lend you money at 0% without a fee.

Bear in mind also it usually takes a couple of weeks for cards to be issued.

If you are planning on paying it off within a month or two, interest rates are not much of an issue.
