Hi
I purchased an o2 joggler (electronic net calendar type jobby) and it didnt work properly. Took it back to the shop where I bought it and they exchanged it. 2nd one still not working properly (text breaking up etc) so as I was visiting a different shopping centre a week or so later decided to pop into the o2 shop as I now wanted a refund. The shop refused, saying that as it had been exchanged previously, they would be allowed to send it for repair etc. Manager wouldnt speak to me - in meeting etc pop back later. On the receipt was the original shop I bought it from. Phoned them and straight away they said no problem with refund.
Made me think, if this was correct about exchange being sent away, it might always be better to ask for a refund in the first place, and then buy it again, thus leaving you in a better position.
Thats if they were correct in what they were telling me

So you didn't buy it from an o2 shop yet you want o2 to refund it for you?0

/no, accepting an exchange in the first instance does not waiver your right to reject the second set of goods under the sale of goods act, you may ask for a refund in the first place, or a replacement if you would prefer that.Back by no demand whatsoever.0

yes the first purchase was from an O2 shop - all involved an O2 shop0
