New Quay- ideas for days out?

We're off to stay for a couple of weeks in New Quay, West Wales this summer holidays. I wondered if anyone has any ideas of good places to go with the children (aged 5 and 7, one boy one girl) and my other half? Know about Fantasy Farm Park near Aberaeron so will try to go there.
Any other ideas please? (Especially inexpensive ones!) Thanks

will you be taking a car?

we've just come back from a week in west wales and had a fab time. we went to castell henllys (and old iron fort just outside eglwyswrw) which isnt too far from cardigan.

aberystwyth is a very pretty town, as is aberaeron - i drove through there recently on the way to north wales and the beaches looked fantastic

the centre for alternative technology in machynlleth has had good reviews, although im yet to visit myself.


what sort of activities did you have in mind? i recommend you contact the wales tourist board for info - their brochures are very informative and full of ideas. even we found them useful, and we are welsh born and bred



Ceredigion, Mid Wales & The Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia Mountains and Coast and Carmarthenshire are the areas most relevant to where you will be based.
