travelodge room insurance Please help!!

Hi all
Wondered if you clever guys and girls could help me out. I managed to book some rooms in the summer sale but didn't realise that i had forgot to uncheck the room insurance box until i printed out the details. I tried to cancel it through the link on the amend bookings page but that just led me to a blank page. I have emailed customer services who have helpfully pointed out that it needs to be done through the amend booking page on the website, well, d'uh. I have also phoned them on their expensive no. for them to tell me that i can't cancel, so i told her i was entitled to a 14 day cooling off period. She then said it wasn't anything to do with them and i should phone the insurers and she gave me their number. I have phoned the insurers and it was just for claims, so have sent them an email but i'm not holding out any hope. At this rate my 14 day cooling off period will be expired before it is sorted out. Please help!!

the insurance is only £1 isnt it, the phone call has cost you more than the insurance. The insurance is worth getting in my opinion if you are making a booking way ahead. if you cant make the booking you can use the insurance to get your money back.
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.
  • travel lodge insurance isn't worth s*** when you read the small print and in the summer sale were the rooms£9? and you still want a £1 back?

The insurance is now £1.50 but is hardly worth quibbling over considering the rooms are only £9 (and the insurance is per booking, not per night).

The email address for the insurance is: travelodgeinsurance@heathlambert.com
