Santander Credit Card

Hi, new to the board, wondered if you could help.
A few months back I applied for a Santander credit card. I had an automatic acceptance thing as my Alliance and Leicester card was being phased out. Filled in the relevant forms including a couple of balance transfers to this card and never really heard anything. Noticed one balance transfer had been done on one credit card but not another. I rang them up as I had not received a card or any sort of paperwork from them. They informed me a card had been sent out but obviously not received it so would cancel that one and send out a new one. Am still yet to receive this card.
i've recently had a text off them asking me to ring them which I have done where I get put through to Abbey (part of Santander I think). They tell me they can't speak to me about the account as I don't pass the security questions so put me through to Santander customer services which is an automated service where I have to enter my 16 digit card number to get through to an operator which I obviously don't have.
Any ideas as what to do as I seem to be going round in circles?!
I'll quite happily not pay off the balance transfer if they don't want my money!!
