our plan is fairly similar to you, we are having an intimate reg office wedding with immediate family only at 3.30 and then will have photos in our local town gardens (very pretty location) which i estimate will be until 5pm.

we are not having the reception in a hotel but are having an evening reception only. we are hiring a venue and catering ourselves so between 5-7pm we will all go off to collect the food and take it to the venue and then our reception will start at 7pm :-)

Good idea about hiring a venue where you can get your own caterer, will look into that

Our budget is £2000 and this is the order of the day we are doing

Getting married at 3.30 at registry office
4.00 - 4.30 ish photos
4.00 - 7.00 casino
5.00 the buffet will come out
7.00 - evening guests arrive
9.00 - pizzas will arrive
12.00 go home with my husband for the first time :-)

Bacon/Sausage Baps - midnight
Bar close - 1am
Goodbyes to guests and head to hotel room - 2am
Shell wants to talk about this and that - 4am onwards
OH tells me to !!!!!! and get some sleep - 5am

2.30 pm - Drinks and Photographs

3.30 pm - Speeches and Toasts

4 pm - Wedding Breakfast

7.30pm - Evening Reception
