How would you use this card?

Just had a halifax one card 0% for 9 months but only a £2100 limit so just wondering what you guys would use it for? reason being id hit the limit within 3/4 months of spending if i was just using it for everything and putting my pay into an isa. chances of getting a higher limit is slim i think as im only 21 and this is my 2nd card.

i have my asda card with £2500 limit but no 0% left which is my usual card and then i pay the whole amount with my pay

should i just hit the limit and put my pay in the isa then go back to my asda card, use that as usual and gradually reduce the amount on the new card then just hit the limit again?

....or just book a holiday and spread the cost? lol

    ?????????

Are you talking about stoozing? Well, what else would you want to do with it?
Either you want to stooze or you want to spend (ie the holiday).
  • thats what im getting at, there doesnt seem to be a high enough limit to stooze to make it worth while?

Well, you have to start somewhere...

Do you already have ISA? what is the interest rate?
    I have ISA at 4% - £2100x4%x9/12 = £63

As one of your first attempts, how much would you like?
  • yes currently in transfer to northern rock, mind you i had a letter to confirm but heard nothing since and its been a good 3 weeks. anyway £2605 currently in transfer so i could probably finish that up and open the new one in april with the rest.

after the 9 months then you would do a balance transfer elsewhere to keep it 0% and open a new 0% card and start the whole process again....?

That very much depends on the BT offers and saving rates that will be available at the time... If you have offer for 3% BT fee like I had it's probably not worth it for the extra 1% on £2000..

Last time I paid it off and just started again. I have £3500 limit for 12 mths and reached the £3500 within 3 mths so now it's just sitting there.. So I will have 9 mths @ 4% pa interest on the full £3500 rather then 12 mths 1% pa interest on it if I did the BT...

You will have to see what makes financial sense at the time.
