Rafolio - If you let me have your name as soon as possible I'll review your case as we certainly do make allowances for postal delays over the Christmas period.

Thanks for your reply, I'd be extremely grateful for your assistance but I'm sure you can understand I don't want to give my details over a forum due to security reasons, I tried to PM you but it said you couldn't receive messages?

Could you possibly give me an email address which I could send the info to?

thanks again, it really is greatly appreciated.

p.s. thanks also to N97, bunglejemson, chappers and all others who have given their advice

Just a quick message to say a big thank you to Kevin Firth, the DPS representative on the forum who has kindly arranged for me to submit my evidence after the initial deadline due to the circumstances explained above.

Good luck Rafolio - been in your situation a few years ago where LL kept all deposit cash unfairly and the kind folk on MSE, alot of them on this here thread, were so helpful. Good luck and I do hope you are able to teach this 1st time LL a lesson in what's fair.

As it happens, last week we tried to use DPS arbitration for an unfair LL charge and after all was said and done she refused arbitration, I hope yours at least doesn't do this to you as that means court. Let's hope not.

    Keep us posted!

El excuse me using your thread for the following

Kevin - you have said on this forum that all your abritrators include their name and qualifications on their adjudications.... i suggested that you do some quality control on this, as that was not my experience

here is another landlord posting on singingpig from a thread called ""DPS - ARE they being transparent or not""

""We've only had one go through with the adjudicators and there was no name, qualifications or anything on the decision document. Obviously went in favour of the tenant, despite them being in rent arreas, absconding from the property and leaving it in a terrible state. Next time we're using the courts!!""

This IS how many many landlords view DPS Kevin...

Have you investigated the lack of nomenclature on Decisions and have your arbitrators started to comply yet ?

I'll look into the name and qualifications issue and see what the other schemes do.

Obviously can't comment on the case referred to without more detail, but there is always two sides to every story.
