lost insurance

My partner was in the Army in germany and took out an insurance. This was about 18 yrs ago. He can't remember who it was with and he doesn't have any paperwork (men).
Does anyone know of a way to track it please?

Any idea what kind of insurance?
One of the most likely candidates is a firm called Towergate Wilsons - http://www.towergatewilsons.co.uk/ although at that time they would have probably been called Wilsons. They specialise in insurances for military personel and will often sell direct on the bases with the approval of the commanding officers.
They do have a regular competitor (whose name escapes me) but I'm sure they would tell you who it is.
To help them you'll need details like unit, partners rank and name (as it was 18yrs ago), base and hopefully, type of insurance.0
