Will these marks on my credit report seriously affect me?

Hi,
We're hoping to move house later this year and so I decided to check my credit reports. I do have a number of credit cards/loans (which I am paying off as quickly as poss) and I always make payments on time. So I was horrified to see on my credit report:
That I had made 3 late payments to my Next account in 2006 (I remember this now and had completely forgotten about it)
I paid off my hsbc student account last year but stupidly forgot to cancel two yearly direct debits so when these were taken out I went over my overdraft for two months leaving me with a late paymetn mark in July and August of 2009
Lastly, I took out an Abbey Credit Card in October 2009, set up the direct debit etc. No payment was taken and I received a late payment charge for November. I rang Abbey and complained that I had set up a direct debit. They agreed it was their fault and refunded my late payment fee. I also asked them to make sure it wasn't reported on my credit report seeing as it wasn't my fault. WELL....on my credit report for November 09 it says AP (arrangement to pay). Am I right in thinking this does not look good? And is there anything I can do??
Will the 2006 late payments still badly affect me? As well as the overdraft problem a year ago? I have received new credit cards with no problems since these marks were added to my report. But i'm worried a mortgage application will be more strict. Can the above prevent me from getting a mortgage later this year?
I always make my payments and I have a good salary. The Experian credit rating says my rating is good (909) and my husbands is excellent (999)
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I doubt the 2006 late payments would affect you, but some lenders could still be stuffy.
The 2 late payments in 2009 will not look great and the AP is certainly not good at all. Sounds odd they have put an arrangement to pay on a new account due to a direct debit not being taken. Are you having trouble paying off a balance? This is generally the reason an AP is used. I'd definitely ring them and get this clarified.
I should imagine that you will be able to find a mortgage lender, but the interest will probably be quite high. Also you will need a good deposit.
We're looking around at rates at the moment with a 15% deposit (to buy in 4 years time) and as a first time buyer we're looking around 5-6% interest, and that's with us both having excellent credit history.0 -
Thanks for your reply.
no i'm not having any trouble paying off the balance. The day I found out the direct debit hadn't been taken, I paid the missed payment and all payments have come out with no problems ever since. They apologised for the direct debit issue and the fact that my accounts show they refunded the £12 late fee surely backs this up?
I will get onto them. But I'm really worried its too late now and the mark has been made.
Luckily we do have a 15/20% deposit for a house so I hope this will help. Going to clear as much credit card debt as poss before we apply. Even with our current debt, A&L have said they will lend us a significant amount. Due to good salaries. But of course this is always subject to credit checks. And thats why i'm worried.
So I can only hope my credit report will look much better by the time August/September comes around.
If anyone else has any other advice regarding my sitution or has been in a similar scenario it would be much appreciated.0
