Playgroup grant?!

Hi need some advice on playgroup fees. When my 6yo was at playgroup we were eligible for help with fees through some form of grant, all we had to do was present a copy of our tax credit form stating household income. my youngest has just started & I'm hitting a brick wall trying to find if we are still eligible. We have moved since eldest was at playgroup, b ut can't believe this only applies in certain areas - friends say still applies at old playgroup! Any advice?pointers in right direction would be much appreciated - fees are now even higher - but don't want lo to miss out.

You can claim on your tax credits for 80% of the fees if you are working 16 hours or more per week

Is the playgroup registered with Ofsted? You can only claim childcare tax credits if you provide a registration number.

Or the childcare grant is payable for 12.5 hrs a week I think a term after the child's 3rd birthday.

Some areas are trailing 15 hrs a week paid childcare via the childcare grant. This can also be spread over 52 weeks not just term time.
