Savings Account - EIRE

Does anyone know of a good saving account in Southern Ireland. I need to have a euro account. Or does anyone know of any savings comparison websites in Eire.

Many thanks.

Just Spotted Anglo Irish Bank Offering 4.85 Gross For Instant Access Account. You Might Rack It Up If You Can Live Without Instant Access But Not By Much

Thank you, where did you see this advertised? I can't seem to find it on internet.

Ignore previous message as I have now found the Anglo Irish Bank website. I have seen the account but as it is a bank in Northern Ireland the account will be in £ sterling, I am looking for an account in Eire so that I can do transactions in euros as am looking to building a house over there for retirement.

anglo irish branches are located in all major ROI towns. the interest rates are, quite frankly pathetic and have been for some time. Set up a UK - based euro account??? Never attempted it but it is possible. set up costs/interest rates? simply don't know but it wouldn't hurt to enquire.
