Gas Heating Controls

Hi
I am currently in the process of buying a new house. In this house a new gas boiler has been installed, although apart from the temperature controls for water and heating on the boiler itself, I can see no timer controls, thermostat controls on the boiler or on a separate panel.
Should this control be standard with a gas boiler.
If not can anyone let me know on the cost of installing a timer system to the house.
Could I even ask the vendor to install one before signing?
Many Thanks
G

you can ask them to install anything you like. whether they do it or not is another matter entirely.
timer/program boxes are very cheap. 30/80 quid.Get some gorm.0 -
Are these easy to install or should it be done by a professional?

depends on your DIY skill level?
if you have to ask, i suggest that its probably better to get someone in to do it.Get some gorm.0 -
I fitted a Wireless thermostat to my boiler when I moved in, took all of 20 minutes and a little electrical know-how.0
