DIY stores do them from about £200??!!??Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs
30lb lost of 30lb by June 2012 :j:j:j (80lb overall goal)0 -
including taps?
i did order one on plumbworld start of Jan, no sign of delivery yet so if i see another i will cancel them as they are giving me the run around:T:money::T0 -
I did the whole bathroom for £550. Like you i fitted it all myself. The most expensive thing was the taps! Bathroom suite was £220 from B&Q, Tiles £7 per square metre.
Like the other reply says just walk into a diy store and but the suite of the shelf then tart it up with decent taps and nice tiles .......... job done!0 -
E bay! We did my entire bathroom of there. An ex display suite inc taps- under 200. A random pallet of tiles got for 50 quid- loads of rubbish but also some beautiful brown tiles and floor tiles. Bath screen of ebay- second hand. Underfloor heathing also. New shower- whole lot came of ebay.
Think it cost approx 600 in total- we fitted it ourself
Now looking at doing the same for our new house- think the suite inc p shape bat, screen, taps, sink toilet, bath panel- under 300:T0 -
My advice, stay away from B&Q bathrooms at all costs. They are cheap, but false economy; let the suckers buy them.
Buy a branded suite, as they are easier to fit, based on the proper standards and spares/repairs are cheaper and easier.
The two I would recommend are Armitage shanks Sandringham, and Twyfords Refresh.
They are both available for under £300 for the full suite, and will outlast anything else the price range.
Screwfix have Sandringham for £285, which is a bargain!

A sucker here
Check out the B&Q Wickes etc and make your own mind up .
If they only sold rubbish for suckers !! why are people buying the gear , again and again. Yes if you have the money , plenty of places sell better baths .
I have bought from B& Q , installed and been happy .0 -
Another sucker here! but this one did have the costly job of replacing the bath 18months on, but in saying that toilet and basin look just as good as when they were fitted so might be cheaper to pick up a bog standard wc &basin and pay a bit extra for the bath especially if one of your household is a bit on the larger size, hubby was 15 stone and split the bottom of a B&Q bath wasnt even there budget one.0

sorry, another 'sucker' here aswell. we bought a b&q bathroom suite 8 yrs ago, toilet ,sink, bath, shower base & shower door in white. it still looks good, certainly not cheap looking. the only thing I would'nt do again is buy gold coloured taps, they hav'nt stood the test of time and I think chrome would have been a better choice. its your wallet!0

Don't forget Quidco if you are using Ebay
