Hotel Rating Down Graded - Advise?

Many months ago, I booked our summer holiday at a 4 "tick plus" hotel. We have received a letter from the tour operator stating that they have revised the tick rating to a 3 "tick plus". Do I have any come back on them? e.g. change of accomodation or some financial recompense. I am concerned that the standard has dropped to account for the down grading. Changing accomodation is not particularly attractive as we are meeting friends at the hotel who have booked through another tour operator.

Try looking at the T&C's you signed up for when you booked through the TA

Ratings can alter because some amenity\facility is no longer in use (pool\restaurant etc) either temporarily or permanent0
