Swapping from pre-payment metre to bill

The house we moved into currently has a prepayment metre for both gas and electric.
In winter months I would estimate we use £60 for gas and £30 for electric.
In summer £30 electric and about £30 gas (sometimes less).
I do find it a bit tedious having to go out and ‘top up’ the metres, especially in the winter months and am thinking of changing this to a monthly/quarterly bill.
We live in a 3 bed terrace property and there are 2 of us. On weekdays we are out of the house between 7.30 and 5.30.
Does anyone have any suggestions of a supplier who would match what we pay, or even come in less? We are currently with British Gas for both.
Ideally I would prefer a monthly bill and understand there are some tariffs which are ‘pay as you go’ but you are billed monthly for your usage?

have you looked @ British Gas Websaver 5
BG will swap your metres over free of charge if you pass a credit check
i live in 3 bed semi with my girlfriend and are out same ours as yourself and they set my direct debit @ £37.50 for gas:T:money::T0 -
I would get BG, the current supplier, to change the meters (as cons says, they don't charge for this), and then use the comparison sites in the resource bar above to ensure you get the best deal to suit you with regards to tariff/supplier."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
