Thanks everyone. Lots of suggestions, I'm really grateful.
Had quite a good cheapo weekend, what with it being hot- splashed out on the £2.50 train fare to my nearest beach and went for a swim in the sea- something I haven't done since I was a kid. Realised hot weather could be MSE weather- lounging around, swimming in the sea and ogling blokes in trunks is free! Also much nicer to sit outside in the sun with a book than at home on the sofa. Managed to get some cheap strawberries off the market too for an extra treat.
So its not all bad- swings and roundabouts I guess. Thanks for the support- I'm sure I'll need to read through this thread again when I'm next going through a down phase."People who "do things" exceed my endurance,
