You can transfer 100% of your credit limit.

You don't get charged for transfers provided you are within your 0% introductory period, or within your anniversary month

Beat you to it by about 3 seconds!

Just to clarify there are no BT fees whenever you do it, but you will, of course, be charged interest if you are outide your 0% offer periods.
  • Right, so if I've just blagged 3 new 0% deals I am better off routing the money into my current account through my new Egg card rather than my existing MBNA, yes? Because MBNA will charge me £50 and allow 95% of credit limit, whereas Egg do it for nothing and to 100%?

    Correct.

Have a look at https://www.whatsthecost.com and see how much profit you will be making.
  • If you are simply using your egg card as a conduit then I dont think your credit limit (or the allowable max % BT) is a factor as you will be effectively putting the card into credit and then back down again as the money passes through the egg account and into your current account.

Has anyone had any experience of doing this with sums greater than their credit limit?

It is still the best card to use though as there is no fee, as stated above.
    and short arms!

Yes, I have moved positive balances through greater than my credit limit. They went through ok.
